Solution
One software layer for every ATM
Run ATMs from different vendors on one software estate, monitor them from one console and launch new services faster. MGT integrates, deploys and supports KAL software in Kuwait and Oman.

The challenge
The problems with a mixed fleet
Banks want to buy the right ATM for each site, keep one customer experience and fix faults without a site visit. Vendor-specific software makes all three harder.
Locked in to one vendor
Each ATM brand comes with its own software, so a mixed fleet means several estates to maintain and buy from.
Downtime and site visits
Without a central view, faults are found late and too many fixes need an engineer on site.
Slow to launch new services
New transactions or screen changes wait on vendors and on rollouts one ATM at a time.
How it works
How we deliver it
Assess
We review your ATM estate, host environment and current software.
Design
We agree a target architecture and a practical plan.
Integrate and test
Our software engineers connect it to your host and switch, then test it end to end with your teams.
Roll out
A controlled pilot, then a phased rollout planned to limit service disruption.
Train and support
Training for your teams, then SLA support from Kuwait and Oman.
How it fits together
The same software layers sit on ATMs from different vendors, connect to your host and are managed from one console.
- 1ATMs from different vendors talk to the software through the XFS standard.
- 2Kalignite Platform is the common layer on every ATM, with Security Lockdown.
- 3K3A or Kalignite NDC is the application customers use on screen.
- 4KTH authorises, routes and settles transactions with the bank host and card schemes.
- 5KTC monitors and updates the ATMs and provides KTH’s logging and reporting.
Why MGT
Why MGT
KAL provides the software. We make it work with your host, your fleet and your processes, and support it locally.

Integration by our software team
Our in-house engineers integrate KAL software with your host, switch and back-office systems, with end-to-end testing. We customise transactions, screens and set-up for your estate.
Field engineers in Kuwait and Oman
Our field engineers install and maintain the ATMs that run KAL software, including terminals from other brands.
Managed SLA support
Ongoing maintenance and support under agreed service levels. One SLA can cover a mixed fleet.
Frequently asked questions
Will it run on the ATMs we already have from different manufacturers?
Kalignite Platform is built for mixed fleets; KAL states it is tested on ATMs from many hardware vendors. During the assessment we check each of your models.
Do we need to change our host to move off our current NDC application?
Not for NDC download: Kalignite NDC replicates the NDC protocol so the existing host keeps working. We confirm the details for your network during the assessment.
How do we monitor and update the network?
KTC gives a real-time view of every ATM, supports remote diagnostics and reboots, and distributes software and security patches centrally. Many faults can be fixed without a site visit.
Can we add new transactions without the hardware vendor?
Yes. K3A transactions and screens are designed in the K3A Design Studio, and KTH connects to back-end systems through APIs and web services.
Can the host run in the cloud?
KTH supports cloud or on-premises deployment. We agree the right option for your bank during design, and support it after go-live under an agreed SLA.
