How it works
How your customers use it
Four steps from Kumahira’s use procedure. Private, with no one watching.
The customer brings their card and key and presents the card at the booth door. One customer at a time: the booth locks behind them.
At the touchscreen, the customer inserts the card and enters a PIN. Once both match, the system calls up their box.
A stacker crane takes the box from its rack and delivers it to the booth counter. The customer opens it with their own key; the box never leaves the counter.
When the customer is done, the box goes back to its place in the vault automatically as they leave.

Questions banks ask
How does a customer open their box?
They present their card at the booth door, then insert the card and enter a PIN on the touchscreen. The system brings their box to the booth counter, and they open it with their own key.
Does a member of staff need to be there?
No. Customers use the booth alone, and staff no longer need to accompany them or record each visit.
Can customers use it outside banking hours?
The system is designed for use after hours and on holidays. The hours you offer depend on your premises, building access and security policy.
What happens in a fire or an earthquake?
The vault is rated for two hours of fire resistance and designed to withstand seismic intensity 6-upper. A seismic sensor stops the crane if shaking reaches 5-lower or more.
Can we change box sizes later?
Yes. You can mix box sizes in one system and exchange boxes after installation. Room heights range from 2240 mm (AFX) to 3000 mm (MFX and VFX); we survey your branch and propose a layout.
